About Us

Hope on Wheels (HOW) is made up of a group of dedicated Irish volunteers passionate about supporting palliative care for thousands of critically ill patients in need of pain relief and comfort in Uganda and wider Africa.

Inspired by the late Dr Anne Merriman, the “mother of palliative care” in Africa and the founder of Hospice Africa Uganda, we are embarking on a mission that will change the end of life for thousands of critically ill in Africa.
